Colson Baker, known professionally as Mgk, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. Originally from the US, Mgk has been active in the music industry since 1990. He has explored various genres throughout his career, including hip hop, English, pop punk, pop rap, and rap rock. Mgk released four mixtapes from 2007 to 2010 before signing with Sean Combs' Bad Boy Records and Interscope Records in 2011. His debut studio album Lace Up peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200, while his subsequent albums General Admission and Bloom received critical acclaim and commercial success. Mgk's music often features collaborations with notable artists, such as Waka Flocka Flame and Camila Cabello. His most recent endeavors include the experimental rap rock of Hotel Diablo and the pop-punk influenced Tickets to My Downfall, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart.
