Three Days Grace is a Canadian rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario, in 1992 under the name Groundswell. After disbanding in 1995, the group regrouped in 1997 as Three Days Grace, with Adam Gontier on guitar and vocals, Neil Sanderson on drums and backing vocals, and Brad Walst on bass. In 2003, Barry Stock joined as lead guitarist, making them a quartet. The band's original lineup has undergone some changes over the years, including Gontier's departure in 2013, which was later replaced by Matt Walst, his younger brother, who had previously written songs for the band and sung with My Darkest Days. In 2024, Gontier officially rejoined the band, making them a dual-vocalist quintet once again. With eight studio albums released under Rca Records, including Three Days Grace, One-X, Life Starts Now, Transit of Venus, Human, Outsider, Explosions, and Alienation, the band has achieved significant commercial success, with several albums certified platinum or gold in the United States, Canada, and other countries.
