Acerca de The Smell
The Smell is a live music venue in Los Angeles. It primarily hosts punk rock and experimental music, and operates as an all-ages, alcohol and drug-free space. It is completely not-for-profit and volunteer-run, and is maintained by Jim Smith, one of its four original organizers, along with a number of volunteers.
The venue predates the Gallery Row district in which it is located, and both border Skid Row. The nearest transit station is Historic Broadway, approximately 3 minutes' walk away, with Civic Center/Grand Park station about 7 minutes' walk away. In 2017, to mark 19 years in Downtown LA, The Smell released a 360-degree virtual reality tour on YouTube, featuring performances by Alpha MC + VerBS, David Scott Stone, Celebrity Crush, Clit Kat, and No Age.
