Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best area in Paris for live music venues?
Oberkampf/Bastille (11th arrondissement) is where the Bataclan sits, alongside a dense cluster of bars and small venues. Pigalle in the 9th is home to La Cigale and L'Olympia. For arena shows, the Accor Arena in Bercy is the main stop on international tours.
What time does the Paris Métro stop running, and how do I get home after a gig?
On weeknights and Sundays, the last train leaves each terminus around 12:40–1am, with the line closing roughly 30–45 minutes later. On Friday and Saturday nights, service is extended by about an hour. Night buses (Noctilien) cover the gap after that at the same fare as daytime tickets — check the RATP app for your exact station's last train.
How much does a concert typically cost in Paris?
Small venue shows around Oberkampf or Pigalle typically run €15–€30. Mid-size gigs at La Cigale or Bataclan (1,500 capacity) usually run €25–€50, and arena shows at Accor Arena for major touring artists often run €50–€120+.
Is it normal to go to concerts alone in Paris?
Yes — Paris's dense concert calendar across every genre means solo gig-going is common, especially for smaller club shows. ConcertBuddy helps you find someone in Paris going to the same concert or into the same genre.
