Alcala Norte

Alcala Norte is a Spanish alternative rock and post-punk musical project formed by six members from Ciudad Lineal, a neighborhood in Madrid, in 2019. After their first EP release the following year, which garnered minimal attention, the group focused on releasing singles and contributing tracks to various compilations. In April 2024, they unveiled their debut album, also titled Alcala Norte, which marked a shift towards a more classic indie-rock sound influenced by their native country's music scene. However, the album still maintained its signature darkness, setting them apart from other bands in the genre. The album received widespread acclaim, solidifying Alcala Norte as one of the standout acts of the year and securing performances at prominent Spanish festivals such as Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Bbk in Bilbao.
