Formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1991, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is an American hip-hop group consisting of rappers Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone. The group signed with Ruthless Records in late 1993 and debuted with the EP Creepin on ah Come Up the following year. Their second album, E. 1999 Eternal, was released in 1995 and included hit singles "1st of tha Month" and "East 1999". Bone Thugs-n-Harmony earned a Grammy Award in 1997 for their song "Tha Crossroads", a tribute to their mentor Eazy-E. Their third album, The Art of War, was released in 1997, followed by BTNHResurrection in 2000, which achieved platinum status within a month. Thug World Order, released in 2002, peaked at No. 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Known for pioneering chopper rap and vocal harmony in hip-hop, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony have sold over 16 million records and are frequently cited as one of the greatest rap groups.
