Candy Dulfer is a highly acclaimed Dutch jazz and pop saxophonist born on September 19, 1969. The daughter of renowned jazz saxophonist Hans Dulfer, Candy began playing at just six years old and formed her own band Funky Stuff at fourteen. Her big break came when she opened for Madonna's European tour in 1987, showcasing her impressive skills to a massive audience. This led to the release of her debut album Saxuality in 1990, which earned a Grammy nomination. Throughout her career, Candy has collaborated with an impressive array of artists including Prince, Dave Stewart, Van Morrison, Angie Stone, Maceo Parker, and Rick Braun, among others. She has also shared the stage with legendary acts such as Pink Floyd, Tower of Power, and Alan Parsons. In addition to her music pursuits, Candy hosted the Dutch television series Candy Meets... in 2007, interviewing various musicians. Her experience judging the fifth season of the Dutch X Factor in 2013 further solidified her status as a respected figure in the music industry.
