Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian singer, actor, and film producer who has been active in the entertainment industry since 1984. A pioneer of Punjabi music, he has been a driving force behind its global popularity. With a career spanning over two decades, Dosanjh has released several chart-topping albums, including Smile (2005), Chocolate (2008), and The Next Level (2009) with Yo Yo Honey Singh. His foray into acting began with a cameo in the Punjabi movie Mel Karade Rabba in 2010, followed by his leading role debut in The Lion of Punjab in 2011. He made his Bollywood debut with Udta Punjab in 2016, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Dosanjh has also appeared as a judge on three seasons of Rising Star and has won numerous awards, including five Ptc Awards for Best Actor.
