Kittie

Kittie is a Canadian heavy metal band from London, Ontario, formed in 1996 by guitarist Fallon Bowman and drummer Mercedes Lander. Guitarist and vocalist Morgan Lander, along with bassist Tanya Candler, joined the group the following year. Despite lineup changes over the years, Morgan and Mercedes have remained the band's sole constant members. Collectively, their material released via independent record labels has sold over two million copies worldwide. The band's early work, such as their debut album Spit (1999), primarily exhibited a nu metal sound, selling at least 600,000 copies in the United States and earning a gold certification from the RIAA. As they evolved, Kittie transitioned towards a heavier, more aggressive sound, incorporating elements of alternative metal, groove metal, and death metal into their music.
