Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994 by lead vocalist Fred Durst and Sam Rivers. The group soon added John Otto on drums and later Wes Borland on guitar, turntablist DJ Lethal joining shortly after. Known for their unique sound blending nu metal, rapcore, rap metal, rap rock, and alternative metal, Limp Bizkit has become one of the most successful nu-metal bands of all time. With a lineup that's seen some changes over the years, the band's core members have remained Durst, Otto, Borland, and Lethal. Their debut album Three Dollar Bill, Y'all (1997) marked the beginning of their rise to fame, followed by Significant Other (1999) and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (2000), which cemented their mainstream success. Despite controversy surrounding some of their performances, Limp Bizkit has sold 40 million records worldwide, been nominated for three Grammy Awards, and won numerous other accolades throughout their career.
