Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are a punk rock supergroup formed in 1995 by musicians on the Fat Wreck Chords roster. The band is known for exclusively performing cover songs, reinterpreting popular tunes in a punk rock style. With each album featuring a different musical theme, their output has been primarily released on Fat Wreck Chords, with some singles and EPs appearing on other independent labels. Originally consisting of bassist "Fat Mike" Burkett, guitarists Joey Cape and Chris Shiflett, drummer Dave Raun, and singer Spike Slawson, the group's lineup has seen many fill-in musicians participate in tours over the years. Despite various commitments from its core members, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes continue to thrive, with Burkett's reduced live involvement since 2014 and Chris Shiflett's departure from the group in 2019.
