My Chemical Romance is an American rock band from New Jersey, formed in November 2001. The group consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way. Shortly after forming, the band signed to Eyeball Records and released their debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002. They then signed with Reprise Records and released their major label debut Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004, which was a commercial success and earned platinum status just over a year later. The band's subsequent releases, including the concept album The Black Parade in 2006 and Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys in 2010, received generally favorable reviews from music critics. After a hiatus, the band announced their breakup in 2013 but reunited in 2019, with an opening show in Los Angeles.
