Papa Roach is an American rock band formed in 1993 from Vacaville, California. With a consistent lineup featuring lead vocalist Jacoby Shaddix, drummer Dave Buckner (later replaced by Tony Palermo), guitarist Jerry Horton, and bassist Tobin Esperance, the group initially gained traction with demo EPs and their debut album Old Friends from Young Years in 1997. Signing with DreamWorks Records in 1999, Papa Roach released the triple-platinum album Infest in 2000, which included the breakthrough hit "Last Resort" that peaked at No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart. The band's subsequent releases, including Lovehatetragedy (2002), Getting Away with Murder (2004), and The Paramour Sessions (2006), solidified their reputation as a force in nu metal, hard rock, and alternative music. With over three decades of creating music together, Papa Roach has continued to evolve, releasing Metamorphosis (2009), Time for Annihilation (2010), The Connection (2012), F.E.A.R. (2015), Crooked Teeth (2017), Who Do You Trust? (2019), and Ego Trip (2022).
