Sugar

Sugar is a US alternative rock band formed in Athens, Georgia during late 1991. The trio first took the stage on February 20th, 1992, marking the beginning of their initial run, which lasted until January 16th, 1995. Thirty years later, Sugar reconvened in June 2025, with the same core members: Bob Mould, known for his work with Hüsker Dü, on vocals and guitar; Davis Barbe, previously a member of Mercyland, on bass and backing vocals; and Malcolm Travis, who has also played with The Zulus and Human Sexual Response, behind the drums. With their genre-bending sound that blends alternative rock, rock, post-grunge, power pop, and queer elements, Sugar is a force to be reckoned with in the music scene.
