Yung Lean is a Swedish rapper born on July 18, 1996. He rose to prominence in 2013 with the viral hit "Ginseng Strip 2002" and went on to release his debut mixtape, Unknown Death 2002, later that year. His debut studio album, Unknown Memory, followed in 2014. Since then, Yung Lean has released a string of critically acclaimed projects, including the mixtapes Frost God (2016), Poison Ivy (2018), and Stardust (2022), as well as the studio albums Warlord (2016), Stranger (2017), Starz (2020), Psykos (2024), and Jonatan (2025). In addition to his hip-hop work, Yung Lean has also explored other genres under the pseudonym Jonatan Leandoer96, releasing albums such as Nectar (2019), Blodhundar & Lullabies (2020), and Sugar World (2023), which blend indie rock and neofolk elements.
