About Saint Vitus
Saint Vitus is a live music venue at 428 Troutman St, New York. It holds around 450 people. The nearest station is Jefferson Street, about a two-minute walk, with DeKalb Avenue station roughly eight minutes on foot.
Founded by musicians and bartenders George Souleidis and Arty Shepherd, Saint Vitus was built inside a former plumbing school in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The venue opened in 2011 with a programme spanning Metal, Punk, Hardcore, Goth, Post Punk, and Industrial. Playing there became a rite of passage, including for larger acts seeking underplays and secret shows.
